What We Do

CrossCulture Jesus is dedicated to taking the gospel across cultural boundaries just as Jesus did: by having compassion on the poor, fatherless, and widows, by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting prisoners, and teaching the Word of God.

Since 2001, this missions- oriented ministry has been spreading the gospel message to thousands of adults, youth and children in North America, Central America, and parts of Europe.

CrossCulture Jesus has organized medical clinics, short term mission trips, developed discipleships and Bible Studies for youth and children, provided training and guidance for area Sunday Schools, served as a channel to take provision to the needy, and partnered with others to establish community centers and Bible Clubs.

CrossCulture Jesus operates in Guatemala under the name Asociación Brazos Abiertos.

Who We Are

Although its founders and directors, Francisco and Sarah Smith, travel to various nations carrying the gospel message, currently CrossCulture Jesus’ overseas base is located in San José Pinula, just outside of Guatemala City, Guatemala

Francisco Smith is from Guatemala. He is a graduate of Francisco Marroquín University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, a Master’s degree in Analysis and Reliability, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has been serving God faithfully in his home church since 2000.

Sarah Smith is from Virginia where she graduated from Faith Landmarks Bible Institute in 1994.  She then served in her local church before becoming a missionary first in England and now in Guatemala.

The Smith’s currently reside outside of Guatemala City with their two sons Corban and Cohen.
